Young Funding Network (YFN) is the young people's offshoot of The Funding Network. We hold events where you can come together with other young people to have fun and support the causes you care about. You'll likely find a cheap bar, live music and loads of other lovely surprises. Then comes the exciting bit; you'll hear from three inspirational projects and have the chance to support them with your time, money and skills. There is no requirement for membership of YFN, and your £10 ticket serves as a donation to the project of your choice on the night!
We are a volunteer-led initiative, and in 2015 we received our first grant funding from Macquarie Group Foundation, enabling us to increase the support we provide to young social change projects.
On 14th November YFN will be joining forces with the fab LYCP at independent creative agency Wieden+Kennedy for an evening of pitches, pledging and pitchers. We're looking for three London-focused social change projects to pitch to the crowd. If you or someone you know has an amazing idea that could use around £1,000 of seed funding & loads of support, this is your chance. You can find details of who is eligible to apply, instructions on the application process, and the application form here. Please submit your applications before midnight on Wednesday 11th October. And if you need some extra info, here's a handy guide.
If you haven't got a project but want to discover exciting things happening on your doorstep, you can get your tickets here. And remember, your £10 ticket acts as a donation towards your project of choice on the night, so come along and experience the power of the collective like never before!
We're exciting to be back in action with Year Here on Thursday 14th December. Supporting their second cohort of 2017, we can guarantee you an evening of brilliant ideas to allieviate challenging social problems. More details in due course so watch this space!
